Registration on GSA is free. Free is always good. Registration on GSA can be a bit complex and time consuming after all this is a government based website so you know if you have ever had any experience with the Feds that you are going to be faced with a lot of paperwork.

Some Key Elements

Shopping and saving money on GSA is great except you have to be really ready to pick up your items when it is time to pick them up. You will be given very specific instructions in the terms of Sale that is posted with each auction item.

You need to follow the instructions to the letter. If you fail to pick up your items when and how directed you stand a very real chance of losing the items AND be assessed liquidation fees that can really hurt your pocket. You know if you owe Uncle Sam one dollar he will be knocking at your door to collect it.

Keep in mind that paying someone to pick up the items that you won may be really expensive so you do not want to be penny wise and pound foolish, winning something at a cut rate is nice but not if you have to pay tons of money for the pick up and shipping.

The agency will not ship your items.

GSA is a legitimate government agency. There is no middle man when you use this site to bid on government surplus. You do have to keep in mind that all items will have to be picked up and there are very specific directions for that pick up. This is a serious site and you should only place bids that you know you can cover on items you know you can pick up as agreed to. It is a good opportunity that you should seize if you can.

Overall, the review shows this to be a legit site and is not a scam, however using a service like will give you more options.
